“Our vision is to lead and see young Christian adults come alive and wake up to their God-ordained identity, potential, passion and purpose, through an exceptional trek through Africa, experiencing all the adventures that it promise. “

Our mission is to lead life changing Exploration Expeditions that awakens the passion, purpose and vision within the hearts of young adults. We want our students to have a very distinctive dream with practical stepping stones to pursue when they step off the Moya Tribe Bus. This will be inspired around campfire discussions, alone time in the Wild and most importantly, alone time and shared time with God.

Our dream is to take young adults on a truly unique and authentic African adventure that offers our students a wide variety of experiences that leads to remarkable personal growth. We want to give them privilege of making a substantial difference at various humanitarian projects.  We also aspire to build long term relationships with a network of people, who are driven to leave a legacy and impart something special of God wherever they decide to go

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Howard Thurman

About us

uMoya: wind, air, fire & Spirit

uMoya symbolizes the fact that on our Expeditions you are as free as the wind! That out in the Wild, your soul will be filled with fresh air and your passionate heart will be rekindled with a burning fire! Moya also means spirit and we know that on this trip, something wil move within your spirit that will endure forever.

Our definition of “Tribe” is a small, unorthodox group of individuals not conforming to society. These mavericks aren’t rebels, but they are free-spirited, independent people who have a “tribal outlook” instead of a worldly mind-set towards life. This means their first concern is that of the group and not their own needs. A tribe is all about family. One of our most fundamental beliefs and values is the importance of real relationships with guests, friends, family and everyone who crosses our path. On our adventures, invaluable friendships are formed which turn acquaintances into a lifelong brotherhood and camaraderie.

“The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure” Christopher McCandles

We believe to taste real adventure; the expedition requires 3 key elements, which you will experience and will help you realise your full potential:

“Exploration is really the essence of the human spirit.” Exploration goes beyond adventure; it is something that dives in deeper, something that asks more of you, something that pushes you further, in a way, exploration seems forbidden, exploration is not for everyone because exploration ventures into the unknown.

Romans 5: 3 – 5 (NKJV)

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us”

We believe these are the key qualities of a Christian man and woman

Character, Integrity, Faithfulness, Passionate, Joyfulness

“The adrenaline and stress of an adventure are better than a thousand peaceful days.” Paulo Coelho.

Our trips are custom designed to be extremely safe, and we have gone the extra mile to ensure all the correct safety measures and precautions are in place, but on these expeditions a degree of risk is to be expected. To truly experience and appreciate an adrenaline rush, you’ll need to show courage on some parts of the journey!

Come Alive!!

We believe that if you combine these three elements (“Moya Tribe Adventures”) you will come alive.   We’re all born into this world with a body, soul and spirit. The result of our spirit and our body coming together is our soul, through which we can perceive the world with all our senses. Once we Believe our Spirit comes alive and we Come Alive!!

Galatians 6: 4

Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.”
